GARDNER: Carrie Ann (Fortunato) Perry, 56, of Gardner, formerly of Townsend, died unexpectedly Friday, March 29, 2024 at her residence.
Carrie was born in Fitchburg, September 6, 1967, a daughter of Michael D. Fortunato and Janet N. (Duval) Fortunato and has resided in Gardner for over 20 years.
Carrie was a 1985 graduate of North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend and continued her education at Mt. Wachusett Community College in Gardner.
For over thirty years Carrie worked in the purchasing, shipping and receiving department at MIT/ Lincoln Laboratories in Lexington.
Always known for her wonderful sense of humor, Carrie enjoyed playing darts and had sung with several area bands. Carrie was instrumental in the formation of a program that provided "Chemo Activity Bags" in support of patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
In addition to her father of Townsend and her mother of Gardner, Carrie leaves her sister; Kelci Feeney of Greenbelt, MD; her spouse, A. Perry of Leominster; her stepmother Donna Fortunato of Townsend and her niece, Maegan Strait of Gardner.
A Celebration of Carrie's life will be held between 4:00 - 7:00pm on April 13, 2024 at the Townsend Congregational Church Hall, 3 Brookline Street Townsend, Massachusetts 01469
The Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, Townsend Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
