Lewis F. Anderson
April 10, 1956 – August 4, 2022
Lewis F. Anderson, 66, of Cotuit, passed away suddenly, Thursday August 4, 2022. He was the son of John and Ruth Barbara (Wilson) Anderson both of whom pre-deceased him.
Lewis grew up in Worcester, Mass. He graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in 1974 and received his Associate Degree from Quinsigamond Community College in 1976. Growing up he always had the latest gadgets and was interested in keeping up with whatever was new. Playing cards and board games was another enjoyment of his but be ready for competition. Even up until his death he has the latest of technology! His first entrepreneurial endeavor was making homemade candles out of the house in Worcester, and Ma was his sales lady. He was a hard and dedicated worker. The family moved to Cape Cod in 1977 and Lewis found his Happy Place. He later married and his daughter Nicole was born in 1986 and she became his pride and Joy.
Lewis worked for Papa Gino's for several years before opening his own pizza shop "Cotuit Pizza" with a friend. He then started a landscaping business "Cotuit Landscaping, Inc" with his friend Jared. Nicole worked for the Pizza shop and landscaping at a young age. His nephews Aaron and Darren also worked for Uncle Lew during their early teenage years. They all learned what hard work was. He took pride in his work and would let any of the workers know if something was not done correctly. So many of his workers have said that Lewis was a mentor to them, and they appreciated his teaching them work ethics. He was a successful businessman and could be a tough boss but in a loving and kind way. He would show you how to do it right.
Lewis loved taking his boat out with friends and especially going to Martha's Vineyard. Whenever family asked him to go out on the boat, he was ready. Friday night "Pizza Golf" at the Highgrounds was a weekly event. Nicole was out there swinging clubs on the golf course with her Dad too. He would be so Happy to know when Nicole was coming home. He would make Chicken Francais for her, and he would have a full agenda for them. Villaggio's was always on the list as well as a trip to the Vineyard. He would be even more excited when his grandchildren Jaliyah and Jahmari were coming to visit. Their time with Grandpa was special and full of activities as well! He loved them so much. He would make time for them and do what they wanted.
Lewis left this world doing what he loved, landscaping. He enjoyed life to the fullest by living his life the way he wanted to. Cotuit will never be the same without Lew. Football season will never be the same without Lew. Club 737 is permanently closed. Lewis was loved by all, and he will be deeply missed.
The family sincerely appreciates all of your Prayers and support during this difficult time. We thank you all for your expressions of kindness and sympathy. May God continue to Bless you. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lewis's memory to the American Cancer Society.

I first met Lew years ago when he had started the pizza business. Hard worker and a really nice guy. Cotuit will not be the same without him. RIP my friend.
