Ernest Laskaris

Ernest Laskaris of Lansdale, PA passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021. He was 97 years young. Born October 14, 1923 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late William and Antonia Laskaris (nee Marvromichalis). Upon graduating Sparta High School in Greece, he returned back to the USA. As a member of the US Army, he served in both the end of World War II and the Korean War. Upon his discharge, Ernest went on to Temple University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting. He served as an Accountant for the city of Philadelphia before retiring. He was a life-time member of AHEPA Chapter 26 and the one of the oldest members of Saint Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church in Norristown, PA. In his free time, Ernest enjoyed crossword puzzles, singing and listening to vintage Greek music, watching the Phillies, and vacationing at the Jersey shore. Above all, his greatest joy was his family. Ernest was a devoted husband to his late wife Marian (nee Laskey). He is survived by his three children; William, George (Linda) and Melissa Stolarczyk (Matthew), and three grandchildren; Alexander, Marina, and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his brother Leon and his sister Emily. Relatives are invited to share in Ernest's Life Celebration on Friday July 30, from 10 to 10:50 AM at Saint Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church 900 S. Trooper Rd. Norristown, PA. Funeral Service will begin at 11 AM at the Church. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. Family services are by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton 610-277-7000.
