Someone asked me today who my favorite teacher was when I was in high school and Mr Prindle's name came right to me. Tonight I googled his name and found that he had passed. He was my inspiration when I taught. I will always remember him fondly. My sympathies to the family.

Patty and family -
I was so sorry to read of Tony's passing. Though it has been a long time since my days in the Linton math department ('69-'72), I remember clearly Tony's love of teaching and of mathematics. And I especially remember how helpful were his patience and support as I began my teaching career there. Tony's influence lives on in any number of students and teachers, and I consider myself fortunate to have been his colleague.

I was so saddened to see this news. Tony was a dear friend who was certainly the most influential person on my career in education. I had the pleasure of watching Tony teach many times; he was one of the best teachers I have ever seen. His love of mathematics and teaching were the entire reason I chose to become a teacher at Linton in 1974. He, Dave and I worked tirelessly on the MAA contest problems even when I student taught there and truth be known, my four years with Tony and the opportunities that he provided me had a profound effect on me for the rest of my career. Tony was such a gentleman and I will surely miss him. My sincere condolences to Patty and all of his family. You should know that Tony was a wonderful man who had such a positive impact on all of us who were lucky enough to know him.

I had Mr. Prindle for calculus my senior year at Linton. I remember him as a wonderful teacher but valued him more for his gifts as a person. He was always funny, endlessly patient, and very kind. I am very sorry for your loss...I know how much he will be missed.

Dave and I offer our sincere condolences to your family. Needless to say we were shocked and saddened to hear of Tony's passing. It has been many years since we saw Tony but Jim Nolan said he saw him recently and he appeared to be in excellent health. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
