Nancy E. Drewes, 75, of Michigan City passed away on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023, at VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso, Indiana.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Jordan Fetcko officiating. Viewing will be held on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Legacy Center at Queen of All Saints Church.
The Root Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Nancy was born Jan. 18, 1948, in Peru, Indiana, to the late W.D. and Mary (Schropshire) Dawalt.
On Jan. 29, 1968, in New Buffalo, Michigan, she married Jack Drewes, who is surviving in Michigan City.
Also surviving is one son, Jason Drewes; sister-in-law, Debbie Dawalt; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by one son, Trevor J. Drewes; and one brother, Joe Dawalt.
Nancy was a retired manager for Personal Finance.
She was a member of Queen of All Saints Church. She loved spending time with her family and going to the ocean. She was the matriarch of the Drewes Family. The family would like to thank Dr. Minesh Patel and Dr. Naina Mahngar for their great care of Nancy during her illness. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
