Alan Michael Loetzerich, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 75. He was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on August 21, 1949.
Alan was the cherished son of the late Charles and Thelma Loetzerich. He is the beloved father of Taylor McIntyre and was a loving brother to his late siblings, Marlene L. McCarthy and Charles W. Loetzerich III. He is survived by his sister, Linda L. Munroe, who will continue to cherish the memories they shared and is keeping Alan's retriever, Pup, safe and healthy since Alan's passing. His niece, Paige McCarthy, will always remember her uncle's guidance and the joy he brought to family gatherings.
Alan attended Frances T. Nicholls High School. His career in seafood sales was more than just a job; it was a reflection of his love for the Gulf and its bounties. An avid fisherman, he could often be found on the tranquil waters of Louisiana, rod in hand, waiting for the next big catch. He was a familiar face to many, known for his warm smile and the genuine interest he took in the lives of his customers and colleagues.
Music was another of Alan's passions, providing a soundtrack to his life's most significant moments. Those who knew Alan will remember him as a man who lived with his heart on his sleeve. His presence could light up a room, and his laughter was infectious. He was a friend to many, always ready with a helping hand or a listening ear. Alan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Alan's life will be scheduled at a later date. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
