Alexsis Newhausen

Alexsis "Lexie" D. (Kloepfer) Newhausen, 40, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, October 4, 2024 at her home in Machesney Park. She was born December 7, 1983, in Rockford, the daughter of Thomas A. and Yolanda R. (Witt) Kloepfer. Graduate of Auburn High School, Class of 2002 and Rock Valley College, Class of 2011. Lexie married Allen J. "A.J." Newhausen in Lena, IL on September 21, 2013. She worked as an Operations Manager for FedEx in Rockford. Lexie attended Heartland Church for many years. She was an avid musician, having played a wide variety of instruments in high school and in the Rock Valley College Starlight Theater orchestra. Her passion was her family and work.
Survived by her husband, A.J.; son, Jacob; mother, Yolanda Beets; step-father, Ray Beets; mother-in-law, Alice "Jinx" (Michael Leitao) Newhausen; maternal grandmother, Elaine Witt; paternal grandmother, June Kloepfer Hinz; sisters, Mandy and Heather Kloepfer; step-siblings, Kaylan Burnham and Zach Beets; brother-in-law, Dan Newhausen; aunts, Barb (Mitch) Forster, Nancy (Doug) McDonald, Marilyn Kloepfer, Sue (Kevin) Orde, Vicky Sessum, and Liz (John) Maves; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Predeceased by her father, Thomas Kloepfer; maternal grandfather, Wayne Witt; paternal grandfather, William "Bill" Kloepfer; father-in-law, Richard Newhausen; uncle, David "Dave" Kloepfer; and aunt, Carol (Scott) Smith.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Olson North Main Chapel, 2811 N. Main St., Rockford with Pastor Mark Harkness officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to be established at a later date.
