Alfred Citino Obituary
Leetonia - Alfred F. Citino, age 71, lifetime resident of Leetonia, died on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Brookdale Austintown.
He was born on December 18, 1952, in Salem, son of the late Alfred and Orinda Mancuso Citino.
Alfred had worked as a road and bridge inspector with the State of Ohio for 32 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Leetonia Ruritans and volunteered with the Leetonia Parks and the Cherry Valley Coke Ovens. He had served as chairman of the St Patrick Church Summer Festival for years. Alfred enjoyed sports, corvettes, Route 66, attending all the Leetonia Bears games and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He always enjoyed family gatherings, especially holidays with grandma's homemade spaghetti and meatballs. Alfred was a kind and generous person who will be missed by all that knew him.
Alfred is survived by his uncle, Patrick (Ernestine) Mancuso; cousins, Ronald (Karen) Santarelli, Mary Ann (Donald) Czyz, Cindy (Joe) Rottenborn, Gary (Kathy) Cooper, Charles "Spike" (Gail) Mancuso, Cheryl O'Brien and Steven Mancuso; nephew, Dan (Michelle) Santarelli; niece, Rebekah Santarelli; friends, Ray Heddleston, Doug Jones and Ron Bulford and numerous other cousins, family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with a prayer service to be held at 10:30 am at the funeral home.
Mass will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 11:00 am at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Leetonia, with Reverend Robert Edwards officiating.
Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 167 Main St. Leetonia, OH 44431.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
