Alice Hope Dougherty Fitzpatrick, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Baptist Hospital East. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and attended Ursuline College before becoming a stewardess for American Airlines. In the winter of 1965, she met the love of her life, Jim Fitzpatrick. After a short courtship, the two were engaged, married and starting a family. Family was the greatest joy of Alice Hope's life and nothing made her happier than being with her husband, children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Daniel Dougherty, and her brother, Daniel Joseph Dougherty. She is survived by her husband, Dr. James Farley Fitzpatrick, and their children, Hope Fitzpatrick Brooks and her husband, Dr. Paul C. Brooks III; James Daniel Fitzpatrick and his wife, Helen; Dr. Clayton Brennan Fitzpatrick and his wife, Dr. Karen Canlas; and Dr. Anne Farley Fitzpatrick and her husband, Dr. Robert L. Keeling Jr. She is also survived by her beloved grandsons, Paul Cephus Brooks IV, James Fitzpatrick Brooks, Daniel Clayton Brooks, James McElliott Fitzpatrick and William Brennan Fitzpatrick.
A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 South Sixth Street with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to The Little Way Pregnancy Center.

Jim and family, So sorry to hear about your loss. Alice was a classy lady, a real credit to her family, and I´m quite sure, a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Hopefully time and good memories will help to erase the sadness that you are experiencing now. Mike Daugherty
