Alice Mascolo

Alice Josephine Mascolo, of White Plains, NY, passed away January 10, 2022. She was 89. Alice was born November 10, 1932 in Mt. Pleasant, NY to the late Joseph and Mary (nee Malara) Figueiredo.
On January 11, 1953 Alice married her high school sweetheart, Angelo Mascolo, at Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains. He predeceased her February 25, 2002.
Alice held many jobs over the course of her career including secretary to director of White Plains Library from 1950-1955, secretary to the traffic manager of Minute Maid/Snow Crop Corp from 1955-1957, and the Executive Secretary to Vice President of Financial Administration of Gulf Nuclear Fuel Corp from 1957-1974. In 1986 Alice graduated with honors from Westchester Community College receiving a Registered Nurse Diploma. She worked as a nurse at United Hospital from 1987 to 1994. Alice was determined to become a nurse after her mom was a stroke victim at the age of 50 and she and husband Angelo took her mom & dad who had dementia in and cared for them at home for over 30 years. She always did everything for everyone she could. She was an angel.
Alice was a parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains, a member of the Rosary Hill Society, and a member of the parish council of Mt. Carmel Church. She also volunteered at the Lighthouse for the Blind and White Plains Hospital.
Alice is survived by her sister Amelia Carducci and husband Joseph Carducci, nieces and nephews; Joseph and Christina Carducci, Susan and William Healey, Toni Mascolo, Denise (Jamie) Massa, Michael (Phyllis) Mascolo, Anton Mascolo, Peter Mascolo, and Mark and Jill Mascolo and sister-in-law Ingeborg Mascolo. She is predeceased by her brother-in-law & sister-in-law Michael & Marie Mascolo, & brother-in-law Peter Mascolo.
