Alice Lou Rep, age 84 of Painesville and lifelong resident of Lake County, passed away on April 2, 2024 at David Simpson Hospice House of the Western Reserve. She was born on August 28, 1939 to the late Howard and Alice (nee: Dickey) Thompson. Alice was a 1957 graduate of Riverside High School and retired from the Lake County Clerk of Courts. She cherished spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies included bowling, dancing, crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, shopping, going to concerts, picnics, reading, and watching Browns and OSU football. Alice loved her companion Zinny. She had an infectious sense of humor and was always with a joke.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Craig Ash) Rep Turner; brother, John Thompson; grandchildren, Thomas (Carolynn) McGrew, Alex (Lisa) Mayhugh, Hannah (Matt) Spiesman, Kayden Mayhugh, Ryan Turner; great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Rep; daughter, Kimberly Mayhugh; and brother, James Thompson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 3-4:30PM at Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077. A memorial service will follow at 4:30PM. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve at www.hospicewr.org.
