Allan Martin Kent

Allan Martin Kent, 76, of Pittsfield, died Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on January 25, 1948, son of Harvey O. and Helen Flynn Kent, he was educated in Pittsfield schools.
He served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 68 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 448.
Mr. Kent was employed by American Medical Response where he was a Cabulance Driver in its Pittsfield Division.
He enjoyed fishing and driving.
Allan was a frequent visitor of Walmart of Pittsfield, sometimes just to socialize. He had many friends there.
Mr. Kent leaves his wife, the former, Donna Horsfall, whom he married August 4, 1973 at St Mary the Morningstar Church in Pittsfield.
He is also survived by his daughter, Lisa, and longtime boyfriend, Joseph; stepdaughter, Lisa Kent, of Pittsfield; and a sister, Agnes M. Kent Mack, and husband Joseph of Pittsfield, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He also leaves behind his special friends, Pat and Ryann Desormier.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Allan M. Kent will be held Sunday, December 15, at 4:00 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Peter M. Naranjo, II., Chaplain at Berkshire Medical Center, officiating. Calling hours will follow the service concluding at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Soldier On in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
