Allen B Collier

Allen B. Collier 94, a native and lifelong resident of Highlands County went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. He was born in Avon Park and lived in Sebring. He attended Sebring High School; he was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Sebring Church of the Nazarene, the Sebring Elks Lodge, and the Sebring VFW Post #4300. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Carolyn, in 2013. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Lykes, Bill, Barron, and Lon Tappon; sisters, Ruby Mae Collier and Anna Laurie Glisson.  He is survived by his sons, Wayne (Teresa) of Oakland, TN, Richard of Sebring; daughters, Brenda (Peter) Weldon and Rachel (James) Heston both of Sebring, sister, Mable Hancock; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  A Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Morris Funeral Chapel with Military Honors to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Research.
