Amity Jacqueline Flowe, age 50, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at her home in Charlotte, NC.
Amity was born March 3, 1974, in Midland, North Carolina. Amity was smart and beautiful with one of the prettiest smiles you had ever seen. She attended Central Cabarrus High School to then go on to graduate from UNCC. Amity loved to dance and cheer which led her to her cheering career. Over the years she cheered first for the Charlotte Hornets and then moved to cheer for the Carolina Panthers Football Team for a number of years. Through college and cheering she met many girlfriends that she loved and adored, which she remained in touch with all these years. Her relationship with all her girlfriends created an everlasting bond.
After cheering, Amity worked at J. O. Flowe Grading side by side with her father, Jimmy Flowe, and plans had been where she and her brother Barrett would hopefully, when the time was right, lead the company to the next generation, which would be their nephews Tristen and Isaak, whom they love.
Amity also loved her girl time with her mother LuAnn and sister, Ivey. Over the years when the three of them would get together their laughter was contagious. Amity in her free time loved the ocean and loved to fish. She often said, “One day I would love to live by the water”.
Visitation will be Friday, July 19, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church, 420 Hopewell Church Road, Monroe, with the service to begin at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Arlington Baptist Church, 9801 Arlington Church Road, Charlotte, NC.
We know Amity is safe in Heaven. Her house was full of spiritual sayings and her car full of Christian CDs. She loved Jesus and He is protecting her now.
Amity leaves behind, but not for long, her mother and father, Jimmy and LuAnn Flowe of Midland; her brother Barrett Flowe of Midland; sister, Ivey Flowe of Midland; nephews, Tristen and Isaak Love of Midland; aunts, Eva Meleones (Jim), Becky Flowe (Rob), Ann Glosson (Eddie); and uncles, Sammy Flowe (Karen), and Lem Beatty.
