Amy Lincoln Moore, a cherished advocate and beloved member of her community, passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on August 24, 1965, in Montpelier at the Heaton Hospital, Amy was the heart and soul of her family and friends, radiating warmth and compassion that touched the lives of many.
A 1983 graduate of Montpelier High School, Amy continued her education at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Her commitment to helping others led her to a fulfilling career in social services, where she worked with the Vermont Federation of Families. Through her advocacy, she tirelessly championed the rights and needs of families, leaving an indelible mark on the community she loved.
Prior to her work at VF of F, Amy's friendly nature shone brightly during her time at JC Penney's, where she established lasting friendships that would last a lifetime. She also ventured into the world of direct sales, proudly selling Mary Kay products, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and her passion for empowering others.
Amy was devoted to her Life Partner, William McCreedy, and a loving mother to her son, Jordan Moore. She took immense pride in participating in Jordan's school activities, always eager to support him and never missing a game. Her love for her family was boundless, and her legacy will continue to resonate in their hearts and the hearts of all who knew her.
Amy is survived by her loving life partner, William McCreedy of East Montpelier, VT; her son, Jordan Moore and his fiancé Ashlyn Liimatainen of Randolph, VT; her sister, Aly McHugh of Lady Lake, Florida, her sister, Marybeth Lincoln of Massachusetts, her sister Joanna Ramsgaard of Denmark; and her brother Jay Lincoln of Massachusetts. She leaves behind a vibrant tapestry of friendships that will forever celebrate her life and memories.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church. Friends, family, and all who were touched by Amy's spirit are invited to join together to honor her remarkable journey and the love she shared. Following the service, a reception will be held to share stories and reminisce about the beautiful moments Amy brought into our lives at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Montpelier.
As we remember Amy, let us carry forward her legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering support for others. She will be greatly missed, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her extraordinary life.
