Andrew R. Allard, Jr of Proctor died peacefully Saturday, November 8, 2025 at his home
following prolonged health issues.
He was born on May 18, 1938 in Proctor, the son of Andrew and Helen (Janoski) Allard.
Andrew graduated from Proctor High School in 1956. After graduation, Andrew began his
early career at Vermont Marble and later transitioned to Omya. After his retirement, he
worked for a few years at Lertola Toyota.
Andrew spent many loving years with his partner, Gerry Carrington. They enjoyed their
many trips to Maine and Hampton Beach and their always-full dance card at the Moose.
Andrew was always the life of the party at many family and community events. He was well
known and respected by many.
He will be remembered as a devoted and loving son, generous and loving uncle, friend to
many, a caring and soft-hearted man, his love for socializing and keen wit and humor.
Surviving includes his partner, Gerry Carrington, sister Mary Smith, nephew Stephen Smith
(Deborah), nieces Susan Johnson and Kathy Smith, three special great-nephews Ryan,
Justin and Zachary and several other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, sister Frances Goodwin and nephews David Smith
and Ronald Goodwin.
He will be missed by all and will be forever remembered as Andy, Uncle and friend. Forever
he will be in our hearts.
The family expresses thanks to Bayada Hospice, Rutland Regional Medical Center staff and
special thanks to his longtime physician Dr. Scovner.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Bridget Church in West Rutland on Thursday Nov 13,2025 at 11AM. Burial will follow in Saint Dominic Cemetery in Proctor. Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home.
