George Bardwell 84, died Nov. 9, 2025 at Crescent Manor Nursing Home in Bennington, VT.
He was born May 21, 1941 in Rutland the son of Melbourne and Mary (Packard) Bardwell.
George was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. For many years the Moose Lodge was his home away from home. He loved major league baseball. Half of his hats said Yankees and the other half Red Sox. He also loved cats.
Survivors are his Nephew Earnest Stone Jr. and a Niece Sara.
He was predeceased by his parents and by his siblings, Clarence, Howard, Ruth, Mary and Helen.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday Nov. 20, 2025 at 11 A.M. at East Clarendon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rutland County Humane Society at 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763
Arrangements are under the direction of the Clifford Funeral Home.
