Publish in a newspaper

Angelo Walter Lentine, of Mishawaka, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on November 28, 1942, in Mishawaka, Indiana, Angelo was a lifelong resident of the community. Angelo was a proud alumnus of Mishawaka High School. His sense of duty led him to serve in the U.S. Army, a period of his life that instilled in him a deep sense of pride and patriotism. He later brought his strong work ethic to the Wheelabrator Corporation in Mishawaka, where he was a respected Supervisor in quality control. Following the closure of Wheelabrator, Angelo continued his career at the former Avanti Corporation in South Bend until his well-deserved retirement.
A man of faith and community, Angelo was a dedicated member of the DeAmici's Italian Club and a devout Catholic. His involvement in these organizations reflected his commitment to his heritage and his spiritual life. Those who knew Angelo would describe him as kind and spirited. Angelo's life was a testament to the power of kindness, the strength of family bonds, and the importance of community.
Angelo was the cherished partner of Luella Shorey for 24 years, and together they shared a life full of love and mutual respect. He was a devoted father to his children, Shellie (Troy) Lentz and Jaimi (David) Wood. His legacy continues through his adoring grandchildren, Brandon, Christian (Ashli), Allison, Haley, Abbey, Joseph (Alyssa), and James, and his great-grandchildren, Sienna, Roman, and one more blessing on the way. Angelo was a beloved brother to Walter (Sally) Lentine, and brother-in-law to Dan Allen and held a special place in the hearts of his many extended family members and friends.
His legacy continues through his grandchildren, who carry his kindness, his strength, and the values he lived by every day. He never missed a moment of their lives-whether it was a game, a recital, or any activity that mattered to them. His presence, his encouragement, and his unwavering love shaped their lives in ways that will be felt for generations. Though he is no longer with us, the impact he made lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Angelo was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Elizabeth (Tedeschi) Lentine, his daughters, Wendy and Bridget Lentine, and his siblings, Geraldine "Gerri" Allen, Cathy Keiser, and Charles "Chuck" Lentine.
Friends may visit with the family from 2-5p.m. on Sunday, November 23rd, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 24th, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W 7th St, Mishawaka, IN 46544 Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
