Mrs. Tarleton was what I remember her by. She was my 5th grade teacher at Northington Elementary School almost 35 years ago. I remember finding my report card and the very pleasant comments she left for my parents, and it warmed my heart. I have many wonderful memories - including 5th grade graduation and singing to all our parents in the cafeteria. I was blessed to have such caring and supportive teachers there. I will always have fond memories of her. My prayers to her family.

In 2002 I bought the home across the street from Ann and Tom. They were both so kind and welcoming to me and my partner. They knew everyone on the street and so much history about the neighborhood. They were so supportive of the neighborhood association which I eventually became president of.
I have since moved to New Orleans. I have several sweet memories of them both. Every single morning, weather permitting, Ann would pop that sun visor on her head and walk the neighborhood with her sister. Countless times I would glance out my window and see one or both of them (Tom and Ann) swinging in the swing to the side of their driveway. A very sweet thing to see.
One time we left for work slamming our back door so hard that it made the front door, that had been left unlocked, swing open. Tom and Ann spotted it open prompting Tom to grab his golf club and head over to conduct a full inspection with a phone in Ann´s hand ready to call the police.
Most of all I remember knocking on their backdoor to discuss a neighborhood issue or collect association dues. Ann would always invite me in and would always offer me a glass of Chardonnay which I always accepted.
Good people.
I know the family will miss her terribly. Love to all.
