Anthony “Ant” Briggs Jr., 30, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Monday, June 19, 2023. Anthony was born September 4, 1992 in Newport, RI to Lisa and Anthony Briggs Sr.
In 2011, Anthony graduated from Ocean Springs High School. After graduation, he went on to receive his associates degree. Anthony was the king of fantasy football like it was his job. He enjoyed many hobbies and was an avid member of local dart leagues. Anthony was known for being a fantasy football champion, New England sports fanatic, gaming aficionado, professional movie critic, novice hunter, pho connoisseur, amateur comic, his dad’s first mate and fishing buddy, and a momma’s boy.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Dennis Barry Sr.
Survivors include his parents, Lisa Briggs and Anthony Briggs Sr; siblings, Cori and Chris Stewart and Alyssa and Sam Conaway; nephew, Arryn Stewart; grandparents, Norma “G-Ma” Barry, Patricia Briggs, and Alfred Briggs; godmother, Tina Briggs; loving pets, Natty, Miller, Schaefer, and Dixie; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in September 2023. The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Persing and his nurse, Mindy; along with all the staff at USA Mitchell Cancer Institute and UMMC Hematology and BMT team; and Dr. Corey Carter and his nurse, Tamara and all of the Cancer Center’s staff.
