George Andrew Briggs, Jr., 73, of Bloomfield, New Mexico passed away on June 19, 2025, in Farmington, New Mexico. He was born on August 4, 1951, in St. Louis, MO to George Briggs, Sr. and Edna Briggs.

George was a 1969 graduate of McCluer High School in Florissant, MO and a 1973 graduate of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. George was an athlete and enjoyed many sports as well as coaching various youth sports. The highlight of his professional career was becoming executive director of a homeless shelter and soup kitchen in an Alaskan town.
