Anthony "Tony" Grabowski

Anthony "Tony" Grabowski, 73, of Clinton Township, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at McLaren Macomb, Mt. Clemens.
He was born in Mt. Clemens on May 3, 1951, the son of the late Charles and Kathryn (Keller) Grabowski.
Tony was a 1969 Clintondale High School graduate. When younger, he worked at Roy Rogers Roast Beef and the Dog & Suds restaurants. Later, he worked at Automotive Dynamics and a car repair facility. Tony was a talented artist who enjoyed sketching, drawing, and creating cartoon strips. Earlier in life, Tony liked traveling with friends and watching the cars go by on Sundays during the Gratiot Cruise. His love of classic cars took him to many car shows and swap meets.
Tony enjoyed simply being at home. He would build models of cars and work on his 1936 Ford Coupe. Otherwise, you could find him relaxing while watching the Discovery of History channels.
Surviving are two brothers, Phil Grabowski of Fremont Township and Steve (Theresa) Grabowski of Chesterfield Township; two nieces, Megan and Rachael (Jon), and two nephews, Steven II and Kyle; two great-nieces, Chian and Peyton, and a great-nephew, J.R., as well as many friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Gail Grabowski, and a niece-in-law, Susan Grabowski.

We invite you to visit and share your cherished memories on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Mt. Clemens. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Mike Cummings will be officiating. Burial will take place in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Mt. Clemens.
In honor of Anthony's love for classic cars, his family kindly requests you to join us by wearing your favorite Classic Car T-Shirt for his visitation and service. This small gesture will help us remember him in a way that was truly special to him.
