Athenia Ghavamian Blomquist September 15, 1981 – June 16, 2025 Surrounded by love, Athenia Ghavamian Blomquist of Woodstock, GA, passed peacefully at home on June 16, 2025. Athenia was a beacon of confidence, intelligence, beauty, and unwavering loyalty to those who knew her. She approached life with grace and determination, traits that carried her through challenges with a resilient spirit and courageous four-year battle with cancer. Athenia graduated from Sequoyah High School and Georgia Southern University where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. Following her BA in Public Relations, she pursued a career in insurance and benefits. Athenia's greatest joy was being a mom to Brett and Blake. She loved them deeply and was so proud of the young men they are becoming. She and her husband, Don, shared many meaningful and loving years and valued the life and home they built together. Athenia was the daughter of Mahmood and Debbie Ghavamian and the granddaughter of Habibeh Jafari. She is also survived by her sisters Andrea Ghavamian Henry, Amy Ghavamian Williams(Johnson), and Alisha Ghavamian Barnard(Tim), as well as her nieces, nephews, and many extended family members who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ali Ghavamian, whose memory she carried with love and honor. Athenia's warmth, wisdom, and kindness made her truly unforgettable. While her absence is felt deeply, her love and light remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Family and friends will gather to honor her life at Lakeside Funeral Home on June 20, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of her life at 11 a.m. with internment at Rolling Hills Memory Garden.
