Audrey J. Olig

Audrey J. Olig, age 89, Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024 in West Bend, WI at Cedar Ridge the Cottages.
She was born on May 23, 1935 in St. Nazianz, a daughter of the late Herbert and Leona Schmitt Schwartz.
She attended St. Gregory Grade School and moved to Millhome in 1943, attending St. Peter and Paul Catholic School, graduating in 1949. She graduated from Kiel High School in June, 1953. Following graduation, she worked for Lakeshire Marty Company in Plymouth.
On July 2, 1955, she married Alfred N. Olig at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. After their marriage the couple lived in Plymouth. Her husband preceded her in death on September 19, 2011.
She worked at the Great A & P Tea Company and Central Wrap for 14-1/2 years, Great Lakes Cheese for 8+ years and the Plymouth School District Food Service for 9 years until retirement.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and was a member of St. John the Baptist Christian Women Society and the Daughters of Isabella. Audrey was an associate member of the Salvation Army and also belonged to the St. Vincent De Paul Society and was a Red Cross Volunteer.
Survivors include her four sons Brian J. (Helen) Olig of Campbellsport, WI, Steven Olig (special friend Kathy) of Wausau, WI, Douglas Olig (special friend Anna) of Colorado Springs, CO, Mark (Jayne) Olig of West Bend, WI, one daughter, Barbara (Tom) Hermann of Green Bay, seventeen grandchildren, and thirty-two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, three brothers Eugene, Herbert, and Dennis Schwartz, and sisters-in-law Donnette Schwartz, Sarah Schwartz, and Betty Schwartz.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 11:00am-1:00pm, with Mass to follow at 1:00pm. Father Subi Thomas will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Audrey's name.

Our mom touch the hearts of countless people throughout her life and her life at the Cottages was no exception. All of you touched Mom's heart and her family as well.
