Barbara "Bobbie" J. Roche passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025 at the age of 92.

She was born on May 18, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan, the second daughter of August and Helen (nee Taylor) Wiegers. Bobbie met the love of her life, the handsome Maurice P. Roche, in the 10th grade at St. Charles Catholic School. They married on February 20, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan, marking the beginning of their love story.

They were blessed with five daughters, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bobbie loved being a wife and caring for her family. As the children grew older, she began working outside her home and retired after 25 years with JC Penny. She and Maurice traveled the world on their own and with the Nomads Travel Group.

Bobbie's life was also about service and faith. She was very generous with her time, volunteering for Meals on Wheels and helping out at church. Bobbie was a devout Catholic, rarely missing church. Through her faith she showed us how life should be lived. She was the best mom, so kind and sweet. Bobbie was deeply loved by her devoted husband.

Bobbie is survived by her husband of 71 years, Maurice; daughters, Valerie (Dennis) Bost, Catherine (Ronald) Kotula, Diane (Butch) Alder and Bridget Roche; grandchildren, Chelsea (Tomek), Stephanie (Andrew), Jenna (Ethan), Garrett and Brian; two great-grandchildren, Alek and Addelyn; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Maureen Frances Roche and her sister, Patricia "Patty" Malyszek, with whom she was exceptionally close to.

Bobbie's life will be celebrated at her parish, St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile Road, Macomb on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with her funeral mass to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Solanus Casey Center.
