Barbara Ann Brummer, born October 17, 1946, was born and lived in North Merrick, NY on Long Island until moving to Maryland in the 1990's. She worked in the offices of several shipping companies in New York and Baltimore. Barbara was soft-hearted in her love of animals of all kinds, and a supporter of several animal welfare groups and zoos throughout her life. She was especially fond of her two cats, Baboo and BB. Music of all kinds, especially Broadway musicals and song-filled movies from all eras, brought her the most joy. She had a penchant for Peanuts' Snoopy and enjoyed surrounding herself with a fairly large collection of Snoopy items. Barbara is survived by her brother Paul Brummer and his wife Teresa of NH; first cousin Nancy Louia and her husband Michael of MD; her Godson Christopher Brummer and his wife Jess of GA; her niece Jennifer Pelletier of NH; her Godson Ryan Louia of NC; special cousin Megan Louia and her husband Jeremy of MD; great-niece Paige Pelletier and great-nephew Dominick Pelletier of NH; Great-nephews Levi Brummer, Gunner Brummer, and Hunter Jones of GA; and several cousins in Maryland, New York, and North Carolina. Memorials may be sent to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740 or to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, PO Box 148 Funkstown, MD 21734. A private graveside service will be held at Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale, New York.
