Obituary for Barbara Ann Carroll Barbara Ann Carroll, 88years old, of Eltingville, Staten Island passed away peacefully Saturday evening, March 30, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 26, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Scully and the late Helen O'Loughlin Scully.
Barbara, a Brooklyn native, was a graduate of Bay Ridge High School. Shortly after high school, she met and married the love of her life, the late John Carroll. They settled in Staten Island, where they spent 65 joyous years together and raised six children.
Barbara, affectionately known as "Bobbie" to her husband John, was a lifetime member of the Great Kills Yacht Club, where she and John spent much of their free time building lifelong friendships and sailing the seas with their beloved boat ''Shebeen''.
Barbara was the loving mother of John Carroll (Eileen), Mary Kilgannon (John), Barbara Ammendola (Richie), Steven Carroll (Susan), Linda Mooney (Thomas), and Nancy Carroll (Patrick Reilly). She was the dear sister of Jerry Scully, Kathy Lavezzo, and the late Joan Brennan.
Cherished grandmother of 20, great grandmother of 6 and was awaiting the birth of her 7" and 8" great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 3,2024 at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc.., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Barbara may be sent to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard Staten Island, NY 10306. Forms will be available at the Funeral Home, or online at www.t2t.org
