Barbara Cook Johnson

Barbara Cook Johnson Stevens, 67, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on April 19, 1958, in Bucyrus, Ohio, Barbara lived a life marked by unwavering strength, boundless love, and unwavering devotion to her family. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her caring heart, quiet resilience, and the profound joy she found in simple moments shared with loved ones.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Beulah and Luster Meadows, and Curtis Cook; her husbands, Homer Johnson and Estil Stevens; her siblings, Loretta Arwood and Junior Cook; her nephew, and her grandparents.

She is survived by her beloved son, Nathan Johnson; her cherished granddaughter. Mariah Johnson, and one great granddaughter Oakland Mae. Her sisters, Darlene Compton and Sherry Trent; her brothers, Lucky Meadows, Les Meadows, and Rodney Meadows; as well as numerous nieces, and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10 at 5 PM at the Harvest Apostolic Church on Kents Ridge Road in Richlands, VA
