Barbara Talbot was born December 4, 1946 in Panguitch, Utah to Stanley Elias and Mamie Norton Talbot. She passed away May 2, 2025 in Panguitch, Utah.
Barbara graduated from Panguitch High School, College of Southern Utah, now Southern Utah University, and Northern Arizona University. She was a teacher and librarian for 36 years in schools in Utah and Arizona.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in all of the auxiliaries, the library, and as a Cub Scout Leader. She was active in Daughters of Utah Pioneers, The Friends of the Library, and served on the Library Board. She enjoyed reading, word games, especially Scrabble, and jigsaw puzzles.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Boyd E Talbot; and two nephews and a niece, Zachary D and Rebecca Talbot and Jensen Williams.
She is survived by her sister, Karen (Dennis) Williams; brother, S. Alan (Michelle) Talbot, G. Lyle (Katheryn) Talbot, Steven N. (Susan) Talbot, Richard K. (Marilyn) Talbot and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Panguitch 2nd Ward Chapel, there will be a viewing prior to services from 9:30 - 10:30 am at the church. Interment will be in the Panguitch Cemetery.
