Benjamin J. "Ben" Burss, age 47, of Rittman, died Friday, May 19, 2023, at Summa Barberton Citizens Hospital in Barberton, following a year long period of declining health.
Ben was born on February 25, 1976, in Wadsworth, to David and Terry (Cover) Burss and attended Rittman High School. He worked as a dry-waller and general laborer in the construction business, including his own business, Creative Minds, for 25 years.
Ben enjoyed fishing, golf, and cooking and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
Surviving are his parents, David and Terry Burss of Massillon; six children, Tyler (Jasmyn Kitchen) Burss of Doylestown, Allyssa Burss of Massillon, Brendon Burss-Bejcek of NC, Dominic Burss of Smithville, Bennett Burss and Olivia Pamer, both of Rittman; two grandchildren, Sophia and Ky'Amir Burss; three siblings, Joshua (Kristie) Burss of Wadsworth, Nicholas (Melissa) Burss of Rittman, and Jenielle (David) Greegor of Massillon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to defray funeral costs c/o Auble-Gillman Funeral Home (memo: Ben Burss), 360 West Sunset Drive, Rittman, OH 44270.
