HAVERHILL – Bernard V. Carroll, 74, husband of Michele (Desbiens) Carroll of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8 at his home.
Bernard was born in Lawrence the son of Timothy F. and Doris A. (Anderson) Carroll. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1968 and then went on to serve in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Bernard worked locally at Albright Carpets and United Liquors, and retired from Cedars Home for the Elderly. He loved spending time in Florida and at Salisbury Beach, and going on cruises with his wife Michele. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends gathering for cookouts, boating and socializing at the yacht club. Bernard was well known as an Executive Board Member at the Crescent Yacht Club and had been a member there since 2006.
Bernard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Bernard is survived by his wife Michele (Desbiens) Carroll of Haverhill, son Timothy R. Carroll of Haverhill and daughter Casey and her husband CJ Owens of Sandown, NH. He also leaves behind his brother Daniel R. Carroll of Lynn, grandchildren Christopher "JoJo" Owens and Ellie J. Carroll and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, May 11 from 2PM until 4PM followed by a funeral home chapel service at 4PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill, MA 01830. In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center, 10 Reed Street, Haverhill, MA 01832.
