Betty Block, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
She was born on January 17, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Charles and Lucille (Brown) Kamber. She is also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Camilla Block.
Betty was warm and loving and made anyone she met feel like they were family. After many years of suffering, she is now at peace in the arms of the Lord.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bruce J. Block; four children, Mike Block (Becky Huelsman), Steve Block (Lauren), Tom Block (Stacy), Amy Hill (Fred); eight grandchildren, Kelby, Matt, Haley, Katie, Abby, Hayden, Maddie, Christopher and sister, Robin Payton (Chuck).
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
Visitation will also be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Floydsburg Cemetery (5600 Old Floydsburg Road Crestwood, KY 40014).
The family requests that contributions in Betty’s memory be made to Hosparus of Louisville. The family would also like to express their gratitude to all the loving and caring individuals who embraced Betty as family. You each helped change her life.
