Beverley Mae Singleton
March 16, 1944 - June 11, 2024
Beverley Mae (Brooks) Singleton, 80, a resident of Victoria, Texas for 52 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
Beverley Brooks was born to Vermadine (Hunt) and Voyd Brooks on March 16, 1944 at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA. Her mother and siblings moved to Lubbock, TX when she was twelve. They later moved to Slaton, TX where she attended school and graduated in 1962. She met the love of her life, Vernon Singleton, in 1959 and they married in Slaton, TX on June 1, 1962. Beverley and Vernon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary before his passing in 2012.
Beverley and her husband started several businesses, including Quality Systems of Victoria, TX. She was a faithful Christian who loved God, her family, her friends, and all animals - both wild and domestic. Beverley was a loving and caring wife and mother, whose steadfast love for the Lord, her family, and concern for others exemplified her life. She made certain you knew that you were loved. She was generous beyond measure and quick to lift others through encouraging words and prayer. Her tenacious spirit and pep talks were second to none. Planning family gatherings, taking care of animals, reading, fishing, and watching a good movie or animal shows were among her favorite things. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Her survivors include Daughter, LaVanda and her husband, Dale Eichler, of Victoria TX; Daughter, Chantele Singleton of Galveston, TX. Brother, Vodie Brooks (Linda) of Victoria, TX; Grandsons, Wade Waitschies of Victoria, TX and Lance (Tonya) Waitschies of Skidmore, TX. Granddaughters, Kelcie (James) Carden of Killeen, TX, Hallie (Matthew) Swindoll of Temple, TX and Mackenzie Eichler of Temple, TX. Great Grandchildren, Dylan Waitschies of Victoria, TX; Amie Carden; Wyatt, Maizie, and Easton Swindoll; and Chasyn Sims. Grand Doggie, Gauge Eichler, and Grand Kitty, Susie Q. Singleton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Ray Singleton; her Parents; her beloved Dad, Barney Myers; and her Brother, Dennis Von Brooks.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Crescent Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, 6679 State Highway 185, Victoria, TX 77905. Fellowship will be held at the church's Fellowship Hall following the service. Pastor Toby Smith will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Beverley's name to Dorothy H. O'Connor Pet Adoption Center (135 Progress Drive, Victoria, TX 77905); or Crescent Valley Baptist Church (6679 State Highway 185, Victoria, TX 77905).
