WATERBURY– It is with profound sadness and grief that the family of Beverly (Boughton) McGann, age 74, of Waterbury, announce her passing on Saturday, July 06, 2024, in the comfort of her home surrounded by the care of her loving family. She was the widow of Robert McGann.
Beverly was born on December 15, 1949 in New Haven, CT, the daughter of the late Martin and Jacqueline (Bloomingdale) Boughton. She attended local schools, and had various jobs throughout her life. Beverly led a life marked by love and dedication, finding joy in the simple pleasures that life had to offer. She found solace in her passions of crocheting, exploring nature, and had a passion for learning about history. Cherished moments spent walking alongside her grandchildren in the great outdoors brought her immense happiness. Beverly’s devotion extended to coaching softball for the Derby Recreation Department, where she devoted her time to nurturing young talents, including her daughter Colleen, who played under her guidance. Our family thanks you Mom, for every prayer you uttered for us, for the many sacrifices you made for us, for thousands of hugs you shared with us and the unending love you instilled in all of us.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Maureen McGann, Colleen Burgmyer (Thaddeus), and Robert McGann (Boni), her ten grandchildren; Richard (Melissa), Michael (Malwina), Bethany, William, Madison, Trinity, Kennedy, Darby, Bailey, and Connor, great granddaughter Ella, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
