Blanche M. Reome

SOUTH COLTON-Services for Blanche M. Reome, 86, a resident of 453 Cold Brook Drive, South Colton, will be held privately at a later date. Mrs. Reome passed away early Tuesday morning, July 9, 2024 home. Blanche is survived by her daughter, Cherryl and Lester Chase, Colton; a son, Andre' and Shannon Reome, Amsterdam; her three beloved grandchildren, Hailey Reome, William and Tina Chase and Jennifer and Spike Watson as well as five great-grandchildren. Blanche was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Harold "Doug" and a great-grandson, William Chase.
Born in Watertown, NY on October 20, 1937 to the late Leo and Violet LaJuett Derouin, she graduated from Watertown High School and married Harold Douglas Reome on March 4, 1956. Blanche worked as an operator for NY Telephone for several years as well as being a devoted homemaker. In her free time, Blanche was a Past President of the Skirts and Flirts Square Dancing Club in Canton, a past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Colton and enjoyed puzzles, bingo and knitting. Blanche enjoyed animals as well and loved to travel with Doug to spend the winter months in Florida at the Happy Days R.V. Park.
