Obituary For Bobby Lewis Champion

Chesapeake - Bobby Lewis Champion, born on June 21, 1936, in Henderson, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 89.

Bobby honorably served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958, dedicating four years of his life to military service. Following his time in the Air Force, he worked diligently as a Paint Inspector for the Military Sealift Command, where he was known for his expertise and commitment.

A man of integrity and dedication, Bobby was an active member of the Indian River Masonic Lodge, where he proudly served as Worshipful Master in 1978. He also pursued higher education, attending college for two years.

Bobby is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Theodore and Lila (Paschall) Champion. He leaves behind his cherished significant other, Gwynn Rankin, a son, a daughter, and many other family members and friends who will deeply miss his presence and kindness.
