He attended Louisburg College and UNC Chapel Hill. He served honorably in the Air Force and later worked in supply chain for tobacco companies. An enthusiastic NASCAR fan, he passionately followed the sport throughout his life.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Margaret Griffin Moody; and his two sons, Eric and Don Moody.
He is survived by his brother, Harvey Moody and wife Rae; granddaughter, Annalise Moody; niece Cynthia Carpenter; and special friends, Mike Harris, April Harris, Joshua Harris, and Caleb Harris.
