Brian Keith Barnes, 67, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025 in his home surrounded by his family. Born October 23, 1958 in Chambersburg he was the son of Beverly (Coolbeth) Barnes of Chambersburg and the late Harold Barnes.
He was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the Class of 1976. Brian was employed as a forklift operator and laborer for different companies in the area including Gibble’s and Ventura Foods.
Brian was a member of VFW Post 1599 and the American Legion Post 46 both in Chambersburg. He was also a past member of the AMVETS and Marine Corps in Chambersburg as well. Brian was an avid Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR Racing fan.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 46 years Wanda L. (Hoch) Barnes who he married July 21, 1979; three children, Christina Shields, Brian K. Barnes, Jr., and Nicole Morris (Josh) all of Chambersburg; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and a brother, Calvin Barnes (Louise) of Hardwick, VT. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a son, Bill Shields.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.com.
