Brian Douglas Ferrand, 61, a lifelong resident of Martinsville, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, in the comfort of his home with loved ones by his side after a courageous battle against cancer. Brian was born Friday, September 27th, 1963, in Martinsville to Stephen Douglas Ferrand and Sheila Diane (Thacker) Hargis.
Brian attended Martinsville High School with the Class of 1982. He worked as a foreman for many years for Lanham & Sons Mechanical, Inc in Indianapolis. He previously cut timber for several years for McBride Lumber in New Castle and Crone Lumber in Martinsville. He was a member of Labors Union Local #120.
Brian was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, he especially loved hunting turkey and deer. He also enjoyed fishing and horseback riding with his horse, Chief.
He leaves behind a host of loving family including his mother and stepfather, Sheila Diane and Jackie Ray Hargis of Bringhurst, Indiana; sweetheart of 34 years, Linda R. Bryant of Martinsville; sons, Jason Scott Frye (wife, Beth) and Brian Casey Ferrand (Morgan Phillips) and stepson, Cody Clay Estep (Megan Lucas), all of Bloomington, Indiana; brother, Randy Ferrand (wife, Leah) and sister Shelly Kelley (husband, Mark), all of Martinsville and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Douglas Ferrand on November 30, 2011.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, November 21st, 2024, from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm and Friday, November 22nd, 2024, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center in Martinsville. A service celebrating Brian's life will begin Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Liberty Cemetery in Martinsville.
Contributions may be made to his family to help with expenses, c/o Neal & Summers Mortuary. Online condolences may be shared with Brian's family at www.nealandsummers.com.
