Brian Patrick Minor, 55, of
Pittsville, WI unexpectedly passed away from complications of a heart attack on Tuesday, May 14th at Marshfield Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born in
Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to Patrick and Marlene (Emmerick) Minor on August 24th, 1968. He attended Pittsville schools (class of 1987), where he made lifelong friendships and met Paula Lippert, his wife. Brian and Paula got married on September 2nd, 1996.
Brian is survived by his wife, Paula, and their children, Patrick and Sara Minor, who he was very proud of. He is further survived by his parents, Patrick and Marlene Minor, his brother, Steven (Karla) Neumann of Kronenwetter, his sister-in-law, Cindy (David) Peterson of Marshfield, his brother-in-law, Chad (Lori Luther) Lippert of Pittsville, and his mother-in-law, Patricia Lippert of Marshfield. Brian's memory will also be treasured by his extended family and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brent Minor, his father-in-law, Robert Lippert, and his grandparents.
Brian valued trust, integrity, and honesty above all else, and these principles guided his actions throughout his life. One of Brian's greatest pleasures was cooking, and he became known for his signature dishes like his delicious chicken chimichangas, chicken noodle soup, and chili. Music was a huge part of Brian's life; he played guitar and enjoyed sharing his musical passion with everyone he knew, spreading the joy that music brought him. Brian had a green thumb and looked forward to gardening with his family. He had a vibrant garden filled with San Marzano tomatoes each year. Brian was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. He actively engaged in sports forums, sharing his insights and love for the game with fellow enthusiasts. Brian was an excellent pool shot and held an intimidating presence on the table. In his younger years, Brian enjoyed rabbit hunting with his beagles, Reggie and Diesel, who held a special spot in his heart. He was also very passionate about bow hunting, fishing, his Heritage Softail Harley Davidson, and gaming.
Brian did residential construction for many years until he followed his passion and became the founder and owner of H2ohammer Fishing Tackle. Brian's fishing baits became the #1 walleye slayer on the Detroit River. Brian was regarded as the best custom walleye bait manufacturer in the USA.
He truly loved his family and friends; if you knew him, you knew it. His light-heartedness, quick wit, and wisdom will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25th at Buchanan-Rembs Funeral Home in
Pittsville, WI from 1-3 pm; the service begins at 3 pm. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Following the service, Brian's Celebration of Life and a luncheon will take place at the Pittsville Community Center. Burial will take place at St. Joachim's Cemetery in Pittsville at a later date.
