CARL LESTER MELANCON

Carl Lester Melancon, an Independent Contractor, departed this life at his residence on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the age of 60. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Carl was a graduate of John H. Martyn High School. Devoted father of Chardae (Michael) Mercadel and Cyrionne Melancon. Stepfather of D’angelique and Boyd Craft. Beloved son of the late Valentine Melancon, Sr. and Shirley Jones. Stepson of Roger Jones, Sr. Grandson of the late Frank and Rosie Jones. Loving brother of Valentine Melancon, Jr., Jerry Melancon, Roger (Mary Jane) Jones, Jr., Guy Lee, Angel (Baron) Goodman, Roslyn Melancon, Teranie (Bob) Thompson, Twila Collins, Denise Conley, Myrianne Johnson, Monet Johnson, and Ja’Nace Melancon. Carl is also survived by his devoted friend Leslie Bridges, 11 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
