Carol Jean Wagner, Algoma, 87, passed away on August 22, 2021, at Bellin Hospital – Oconto, with her daughter by her side. Carol was born on October 7, 1933, to Linus and Alice (Columb) Weidner, she lived almost her entire life in Algoma, working hard to raise her four children. Carol loved crocheting, gardening, her birds and flowers, and playing cards.
Carol is survived by her three children, Dean (special friend Lynn) Ferron, Cheryl (Kevin) Clark, Dale (special friend Terrie) Ferron; daughter-in-law, Patty Ferron; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; as well as by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dan Ferron; brother, Duane; and sister-in-law Gloria Otis.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church – Algoma, from 9-11 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolence messages may be shared at www.wiesnermassart.com.
A special thank you to Bellin Hospital – Oconto medical unit; Dr. Charles Heyka; Dr. Ryan MacDonald; all of the nursing staff, for the excellent care they all gave Carol and her family during this very difficult time.
Carol was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother, she will be missed dearly.
