Carol Jane Werthmann

Carol Jane Werthmann died peacefully on June 9, 2023 at the age of 85. Carol was born on July 13, 1937 in Battle Creek, Michigan to John and Janice Anderson.
Carol went to Michigan State University where she studied Education and obtained her teaching credentials. She married Thomas Werthmann on November 26, 1960. They spent nearly 60 years together before being preceded in death by Thomas in November 2020. They enjoyed the majority of their years together living in Troy and added a second residence in Estero, Florida later in life.
Carol was a beautiful person inside and out and lived her life with kindness and a sense of humor. She loved golfing, playing tennis, and was an avid MSU and Detroit Pistons, Tigers, and even a Lions fan. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling and most of all spending time with her friends and family.
Carol is survived by her children, Suzanne (Brendan) Dolan, Barry Werthmann, Jennifer (Paul) Douglas, and Thom Werthmann. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Dolan, Haley, Ashley and Abby Werthmann, and Ryan and Kylie Douglas, in addition to her sister, Kathi Cummins.
Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Roads) Clawson, June 21st from 10am - 12pm followed by a Memorial Service at noon. A lunch in her honor will be held at Trattoria Da Luigi in Royal Oak from 1-3pm.
