A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Roof Garden in Arnolds Park. A visitation will follow at the Roof Garden till 5:00 p.m. The family encourages you to stay for the visitation to watch and cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes for Chad. Please wear Iowa Hawkeye or black and gold clothing in support of Chad. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Chad was born on April 30, 1975, to Brian Banks and Marylyn Friesen in Spencer, IA. He graduated from Okoboji High School. Chad was a service technician for C&N Sales Company.
In his free time Chad enjoyed playing pool where he organized and was in charge of a local pool league. He also enjoyed going on motorcycle rides, spending time with his daughter and fiancée Shannon and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Las Vegas Raiders.
He is survived by his daughter Mattison Banks of Milford; fiancée Shannon Norton of Milford; father Brian (Beliva) Banks of Spencer; mother Marylyn (Randy) Friesen of Great Falls, MT; soon to be step children Damontira Johnson and her children Vivian and N'Kaii and Damontia Johnson; siblings Sonny (Ruth) Banks, Rainie (Adam) Perry, Tara Friesen, and Mikayla Friesen.
Chad was a giving person and would help anyone who needed it, in light of his accident, Chad was able to help those in need one more time by being an organ and tissue donor where his kindness will be able to live on.
