Charlene Marie Kemmer, 77, of Antigo passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2025 surrounded by her family and under the care of LeRoyer Hospice.
Charlene was born on February 14, 1948 in Neva to the late Charles and Helen (Ziatz) Malish. She was united in marriage to Richard Kemmer on April 3, 1965 at St. Wencel’s Catholic Church.
Charlene graduated from Antigo High School, class of 1965. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She and Dick celebrated their 60-year anniversary in April. She was known for her cooking and baking. Her apple pie was a family favorite and a recipe that could never be replicated. She also enjoyed bowling, shopping, and spending time with loved ones. Above all, she cherished her husband, children, and grandchildren who were the center of her life.
In addition to her husband Dick, Charlene is survived by daughters Nicole Kemmer and Rhonda (Kurt) Winters, daughter-in-law Wendy Kemmer, grandchildren Danielle (Chino), Konrad, Joshua, Michael, Kinsey, Keaton, Mathias (Adriana) and Navy, great grandchildren Alex, Ayden, and Ava, sister Nancy (Gary) Scott, and sister-in-law Shirley Harder.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Robert Kemmer, father and mother-in-law Mathias and Rose Kemmer, brother-in-law Robert Kemmer, sisters-in-law Betty Markgraf and Mary Ann Crawford.
A visitation for Charlene will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
