Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & CrematoryCharles H. Beers, 90, of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Promedica Memorial Hospital. He was born March 5, 1935 in Kattaning, PA the son of Frank and Barbara (Bowser) Beers and raised on the family farm. Growing up on the farm instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication. He continued to motinitor the weather and garden as a hobby.
Charles enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, evoking a sense of adventure and nostalgia in his daily life. He had a knack for collecting pocket knives and coins, each piece symbolizing a story and a moment in time. His love for country music often filled the room, and he could always be found whistling a tune as he moved about his day.
Though he took on the ambitious task of mastering the violin,he embraced the joy of music in all its forms, delighting in the journey even when mastering the instrument eluded him.
Surviving is his wife Patricia Beers of Fremont, whom he married August 19, 1973; children: Terry Elder, Brad Beers, Cheryl Bish, Bryon Beers, Tina Beers, and Tony Beers; grandchildren Garret, Myra, Kristina, Doug, Bill, Brock, Lacey, Brandy, Jenny, Carrie, Megan and Jacob; 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in ddeathby his parents, an infant son and sisters Barbra Bonnette, Ruby Dunfee, brother George Beers and first wife Frances Yount.
Visitation take place on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 11:00AM at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH. Funeral servcies will begin at the funeral home at Noon. Memorial Contribuitons may be made to the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www. hermanfh.com
