Charles Edward Gann Jr.

Charles E. Gann Jr, 60, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.
"Eddie" as he was affectionately known by was born Tuesday, April 13th, 1965 at Portsmouth Naval Hospital to Charles and Patricia Gann Sr. Eddie was a graduate of Green Run High School and Old Dominion University, where he loved being a DJ for the campus radio station, WODU. He spent his career in the technology field, serving as Vice President for Infotec, LLC for the last six years.
A lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs, Eddie spent his childhood in the Chicago area, which left a lasting impression on him. He had a passion for golf playing alongside his father, brother, and sons. More than anything, he loved coaching and cheering on his boys in basketball, baseball, football, and soccer and always their biggest supporter.
To those who knew him well, Eddie was a true "foodie," a devoted "Disney geek," a lover of all genres of music, and a fan of the writings of C.S. Lewis. He genuinely loved people. He was sincere, loyal, and respectful to everyone. To his family, he was the cornerstone, to his friends, a steady and generous soul.
Eddie was a dedicated member of London Bridge Church for 26 years, where he served faithfully as a deacon, teacher, and in many other ministry roles. His faith was central to his life and shaped how he treated everyone he met with kindness, humility, and grace.
Left to cherish his memory is: his loving wife of 32 years, Debbie Gann; sons, Joshua Gann and wife Hailee, Jacob Gann and wife Megan; grandson, Carter Noah Gann; parents, Charles and Patricia Gann Sr; brother, Christopher Gann and wife Shari; and a niece, Anna Gann. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his big heart, unwavering faith, and the joy he brought into the lives of others.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, June 6th, 2025 at London Bridge Church. In ln lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hampton Roads Cancer Care Foundation in memory of Eddie Gann.
