Charles Daniel Lake, 66, of Derry, NH, passed away Friday January 5, 2024, in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 23, 1957 in Salisbury, MD, a son of the late Ernest Lewis Lake and Bertha Lee (Lewis) Lake. Charlie had been a resident of Derry for the past 25 years, formerly living in Taunton and Mansfield, MA.
Charlie went into the Marines as a young man and shortly after getting out of the service, he got a job at Raytheon where he retired from after 42 years. He got involved with the union later in his career and he just loved being a part of it. He loved helping people and was always there for the cause.
He loved fishing and went as often as he could, and he could tell you a good fish story for sure. He had a love for gardening and making sure he had the best lawn in the neighborhood. He got into motorcycling later in life but he enjoyed being out on the road with the air going through his mustache and spending time with his buddies. He loved his family and was always ready for family gatherings or celebrations. He was fortunate to have many friends that were like family to him and he treasured that. He loved being a Grampa/Epah to his grandchildren, they would make him light up with joy. He will be missed by many.
Charles is survived by his wife, Tammy Robillard of Derry; His daughter, Erica Lake from Nashua, NH; stepdaughters, Krystal Robillard of NH; Tarrah Robillard and her husband Hayden Ragsdale of Kremmling CO; siblings; Russel Lake and wife Mary of Salisbury, MD, Michael Lake of Seaford, DE; Jimmy Lake and wife Marina of Ocean City, MD, Rodney Davis and wife Phimthong from Selbyville, DE, Wanda Jones and husband Jimmy of Salisbury, Md, Dorothy Neill and husband Harry of Delmar, DE, Melody Collins and husband Elbert from Laurel, DE; Angela McCann of DE, his grandchildren, Cohen McIntyre, Riley Humphrey & Easton Ragsdale; as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his extended family, his very dear friends; Steve Dickens and wife Jodi of Derry, Brandon Griffen of Londonderry, NH, Gary Heany and wife Tina of Methuen, MA. He is predeceased by his stepmother, Katherine Lake, his brothers, Ernest Lake and Robert Lake, sister, Vivian Willey, and grandson, Dash Humphrey.

Deep condolences to Charlie's family and friends. J met Charlie in Raytheons Aegis Assembly 2003 on my return to Andover facility. Charlie came to Andover from Lowell Raytheon when they closed thier doors. Enjoyed Charlie's company. Enjoyed talking the politics of our union with Charlie. He enjoyed being a Steward for the membership. He will be missed.
