MUNCIE- Charles Arthur "Bud" Musick, 83, passed away Monday evening, June 13, 2022 at his residence following a brief illness.
Bud was born October 13, 1938 in Muncie and was the son of the late Clarence W. and Edith Pearl (Crabtree) Musick.
Bud was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle, and brother in law. He ADORED his family and dedicated his life to them. Bud was a provider, protector, confidant, and friend to all. To know him, was to love him. He will be deeply missed by MANY. Bud retired from the Muncie Sanitary District and spent many years as a concrete finisher. He enjoyed Nascar, IU basketball and playing softball. Bud was a graduate of Yorktown High School and he proudly and honorably served his country in the Army National Guards.
Bud is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years Wanda Gail (VanNatta) Musick; seven children Linda Holding (Harold), Chuck Musick (Nancy), Jimmy Musick (Nikki), Howard Journay (Sherri), Tina Gregory-Musick (DeWayne), Heidi Jones (John) and Joe Journay (Holly); fourteen grandchildren Chad Musick (Missy), Ryan Musick, Ashley Musick, Matt Holding (Sloane), Brad Yount, Faith Coon (Taylor, Elleigh, and Riggs), Amanda Coahran (Jimmy, Kaylyn, and Trenton), Jessi Jones (Harper), Luke Jones (Danielle, and Kason), Justin Journay (Chelsee, Meya and Ira), Joe Journay II (Sarah, Waylon and Wesley), Jayla Journay, Charlee Journay, and Jackson Teal; several great-grandchildren; a sister Sharon Kay Musick; a bonus son, Roberto Davila.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two grandsons; and his grandmother who raised him.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Rick Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
