Following his time in the Army during the Korean War, he signed with the Chicago Bears for 2 years.

While there, he enjoyed golfing, fishing and volunteering in the community. He was a member of the Lakeway Building Commission for many years. Chuck also enjoyed his social time with his weekly men's breakfast and beloved "Spit & Wittle" group. He was loved by all and will be truly missed. A life well lived right to the end.
